Mushroom Pals: A Transmedia Strategy for Mindful Storytelling

Mushroom Pals is a transmedia storytelling strategy developed for my graduate course Visual Storytelling in the University of Washington’s Communication Leadership program. This storytelling strategy is designed to support children’s emotional growth through mindfulness, nature, and imaginative play. Starting as a printed comic, the project follows three mushroom friends on a journey of healing after a forest fire, and expands across a website, YouTube channel, and plush toys, each offering calming tools and interactive experiences for kids ages 5–8 and their caregivers.
