Lo'i Kalo Digtial Zine
Created as a final project for my graduate course Communications and Design for the Environment, this digital zine explores how loʻi kalo, traditional Hawaiian taro farming systems, are being revived as tools for climate resilience, cultural restoration, food sovereignty, and land-based education. Focusing on the work of Kakoʻo ʻOiwi in Heʻeia, Oʻahu, the zine weaves together research, personal reflection, and design to show how Indigenous knowledge systems can guide more sustainable and inclusive futures. Read the zine online by clicking under "Link."
